British Muslims and friends of the Muslim community gather to demonstrate in the cold English rain outside US Embassy in London. The protest is against the controversial anti-Islam film about Prophet Mohammad. The film has caused great offence to the demonstrators. The speeches often indicate strong feelings of indignation against the film's disrespect to Prophet Mohammad and the Islamic faith.
The rally was attended by thousands of indignant but orderly and peaceful protesters. The demonstration was attended by many respected scholars and delegates including: Pir Syed Abdul Qadir Gillani, a senior scholar amongst the Sunnis; Allama Qazi Abdul Aziz Chishti; Molana Ahmed Nisar Beg; Syed Zafrullah Shah; Molana Shahid Raza Naeemi: Saraj Qazi; Hafiz Mohammed Yaqub, a councillor and many other eminent people from the Muslim community and friends of the Islamic community.
The campaigners held banners including the widely held "Labbaik Ya RasoolAllah" (We are here oh Messenger of Allah). Also in English underneath the Arabic script: "I love Muhammad Saw". Other banners and placards had messages that included: "We love Muhammed, Don't mock him"; "Islam is the religion of Love"; "Islam the religion of spiritualism"; "Swearing at Faith is not Freedom of Expression"; "Universal Declaration Of Human Right Protects The Rights Of The Individuals… Why Not The Rights Of Billions Of Muslims?"; "Respect of ALL the Prophets is Essential for Peace";"Remove Immediately Provocative Clips Of Anti-Islam Film From Internet"; "Freedom Of Expression Does Not Mean Disrespect Of Religious Personalities"; and many others messages relating to the issue.
