La Fille à la Mode

"La Fille à la Mode" a mobile theatrical dance installation performance, site responsive on this occasion at the V&A. The productions inspirations include the first show at the Theatre Royal Haymarket in 1720, also the silent film "It" staring Clara Bow 1927. The present piece depicts “the essence of the It Girl” with quotes from Coco Chanel and Cora Pearl about an ideal of femininity. La Fille à la Mode is devised and performed by an all female cast of eight actresses, dancers and musicians: Mina Aido, Eleanor Buchan, Laura Obiols Albiñana, Aine O'Dwyer, Maya Politaki, Clara Sobana, Gehane Strechler; costume designed by Amy Jackson; directed by Daphna Attias & Terry O'Donovan; production by dANTE OR dIE Theatre.
