Le Shuttle

Eurotunnel Le Shuttle runs though Euro tunnel an under sea (English Channel / la Manche) tunnel for trains. It connects Coquelles, Pas-de-Calais, France, to Folkestone, England. Travel time 35 minutes, The Channel Tunnel is 31.4 miles (50km). The undersea length of the tunnel is 23.5 miles (38km), and it reaches 250 feet (76m) below the sea bed at its lowest point. It was constructed between 1988 to1994. Though the idea has been around for a long time before. For example French mining engineer Albert Mathieu put forward a cross-Channel tunnel proposal in 1802. Also other unrealised proposals have followed. Coquelles, Pas-de-Calais, France 26/11/2018
