Jim Capaldi / Traffic

Jim Capaldi (1944 - 2005), percussionist and lyricist with the music group 'Traffic'. I was visiting Noel Redding (bass guitarist for the Jimi Hendrix Experience and Noel Redding's other group "Fat Mattress" in a flat in Fulham Road, when Jim Capaldi with Chris Wood, both from "Traffic' dropped in on a friendly visit to see Noel Redding. Jim Capaldi came across as impressive but at the same time laid-back. Jim Capaldi an influential musician but he later becoming involved in wider issues including poverty and the environment.
