Brian Haw peace demonstration display
The Brian Haw peace demonstration displays is about forty metres long, facing the Houses of Commons from Parliament Square. The ever changing displays are contributions from fellow peace campaigners that have been amassed by Haw over the past four years and ten months of his protest. London 4th April 2006

These displays in the peace demonstration were secretly and lovingly reconstructed as part of artist Mark Wallinger’s “State Britain” winner of the Turner Prize exhibition installation artwork at Tate Britain from 15th January to 27 August 2007, then toured the world.

Brian Haw’s peace demonstration continues considerably reduced to approximately three meters (yards) across, three meters up and one meter back is tolerated by the police. The scale is reduced but the message of peace remains significant.
