Cornelia Mayer plays zither before the screening of The Third Man at the Rex Cinema Berkhamsted as part of the Graham Greene International Festival 2009 organised by Graham Greene Birthplace Trust. Cornelia Mayer plays specially selected virtuoso zither music by well known Viennese composers including Anton Kara who composed the music for The Third Man, the film directed by Carol Reed. Mayer studied zither and bassoon in Vienna and Graz and is author of several books about the Vienna zither. Mayer performs both as a soloist, and is a member of Ensemble Monopol, is director of Vienna Zither Company and a recording artist for EMI and Extraplatte.
