Gregory Miller, self-portrait, Scottish - Canadian animator based in Los Angeles. Greg Miller started his animation career in London at Richard Williams Animation Studio in 1976, followed by a period freelancing, including working on Pink Floyd THE WALL, before jointly forming the company Chums Animation in London 1983. They later moved the studio to Edinburgh 1991. He has animated over 100 television commercials. In California for feature film work, 1995 at Disney. Followed by working for Industrial Light Magic (ILM) in the animation department and on occasion story board artist on Frankenstein project. Miller worked for Disney both initially as a traditional animator and later as a CGI animator. Credits include, Walt Disney's Fantasia 2000 (animator - segments "Piano Concerto No 2", "Firebird Suite", "Pomp and Circumstance"); Warner Bros. Kangaroo Jack. Gregory Miller in 2010 made a career gear shift to his first passion wildlife photographer working for nature conservancy. Gregory G. Miller: "It’s just my passion trying to educate and preserve nature anyway I can. Does that make sense?", Richard Keith Wolff: "Yes it does, it makes all the sense in the world". In the picture I am thinking my friend and double colleague, he is both in cartoons & photography now, looks like he may have been burning the midnight oil. But on the other hand cartoons are all about exaggeration are they not! Then again hard work is the raw material of animated films. RKW
