Sign Design Of Our Times.
Signage:
Sign design of our times: an observed design or photographic notebook or scrapbook. The matterial was originally gathered as part of the research and development for a short film project "Dyslexia-n Dreams: Read All About It". The film project is at present on a back-burner. But the research continues.
'Signs... of our times': can be a whimsical look at these signs, although on occasion serious messages are displayed. A homage to the anonymous designers and copywriters that have designed and written the signs that are displayed on our streets, buildings and further afield, including fields.
The literary form of street signs tends to be brief to get read, simple to be quickly understood, and gets to the essence of the message to grab the reader in a world of competing stimuli. All this without getting bogged down with unnecessary or tedious grammar. It’s a brash literary genre! Could this compelling style of, grammar free writing, be adopted into grand literature!

It’s sometimes difficult to understand all the signs on public display, though one can always take a guess!
