Menhir

Menhir within the Carnac alignements (alignments) detail. This is a small section of long rows of menhirs believed to have been be erected by the Proto-Celtes between 4000BC to 3000BC in the Neolithic period. The purpose of these granite standing stones is unknown and the method of erecting them is unclear. However they are an ancient Celtic voice. Carnac, Brittany, France 25/07/2016
